This year (2022) the USATF National Junior Olympic XC Meet is being hosted in College Station TX. This National meet is a neat experience and in order to participate in the National Meet, the athlete (team) must qualify at a local (South Texas) XC Championship. The deadline to register for the local meet is THIS SUNDAY at NOON, and there are hoops to jump through before registering. I will manage the process, but need to know who is interested very quickly.

This is a great experience for our Middle School and younger runners, but is usually not well attended by competitive HS athletes, with the exception of some Freshmen who might still fall into the 13-14 age group.

This meet serves as the local XC Championship AND the qualifier for the National Meet. The top 15 individuals in each event of each age division and the top two (2) teams will advance to the USATF National Championships to be held December 10, 2022 at Texas A&M, in College Station, Texas.

This meet requires a USATF membership which includes Date of Birth verification by a local USATF official. The coach will manage the process but will need a copy/ pic of the athlete’s Birth Cert. before registration can be completed. *
